Beginner Intro to Neural Networks 3: Installing Python and Jupyter Notebook
In this video we install python on a mac using miniconda: https://conda.io/docs/install/quick.html
Then we create a new environment called nnseries which will hold our python installation and any packages we install.
Next we install numpy http://www.numpy.org/
We then install jupyter notebook, which allows us to run python code interactively.
We see how to run simple lines of python code like mathematical operations, then we define a variable, our own function 'double' and finally see how to use code written by others by importing packages and inspecting their available methods.
In the next video we'll define our neural network using python, run some data from our farmer's dataset and get some (wrong.. initially) results!
